Employee Spotlight

Employee of the Quarter
 3rd Qtr, FY 08

Congratulations to Ms Helen Klatt for being selected Fort Lewis 3rd Quarter, FY 08 Employee of the Quarter.

Helen Klatt at Grandstaff Library

Ms Klatt consistently performs tasks above and beyond the normal scope of her responsibilities. She is responsible for the day to day digital connectivity throughout the Library System that allows users from any location to access our services. In addition, she made it possible for the Library Staff to perform all the varied automated tasks that were required to attain these impressive statistics during this quarter: Circulation 53,712; Interlibrary Loans 2,035; Public Computer Sessions 33,628; and Online Access for 39,384 registered borrowers. What is most notable about Ms Klatt is her responsiveness to the needs of customers and Staff and the manner in which she responds. Her approach to customer service is "what ever you need from me to accomplish your job or answer your question then I am going to take the action necessary to ensure the objective is met". Just as she provides assistance she also shares her knowledge. She is patient, approachable, hard working and is always willing to go the extra mile in support of the organization’s goal to provide exceptional customer service. Ms Klatt is in our "Spotlight" because of the remarkable dedication she has to ensuring our Soldiers and their Families have the best possible access to the Library System's digital capabilities. She is truly an exceptional "Team Member".
