Book Discussion Group

for adults will meet the 2nd Wed. of every month. Our next meeting is October 8, 4:30 pm at the McChord Library. We will be discussing "The Alchemist" by Paulo Coelho. A limited number of copies will be available. You must register in person at the McChord Library to receive a copy.

Teen Essay Contest

In celebration of Teen Read Week, the Lewis-McChord Libraries is sponsoring a teen essay contest. JBLM teens are invited to submit an essay titled "My Favorite Read". The essay must be typed, double-spaced, and between 500-1000 words. Entries will be judged on creativity, grammar, organization and format (typed, double-spaced, 500-1000 words) and must be submitted between
Oct 6-10
at the Book Patch or McChord Library. Entries can be submitted in person. The top three essays will receive a Barnes & Noble gift card. This contest is open to all JBLM teens ages 12-18.

class starts Oct 15 and continues on Wednesdays at 4:30 pm through

Nightmare Turned Into Reality Zombie Apocalypse Hits the Libraries! Ad

Teen Read Week is upon us and so are the zombies! It's an all out battle for control of the library! For one night only Oct 24 at Grandstaff Library, at 7:00pm teens and tweens will battle in a glow in the dark game of zombie tag inside the libraries. Prizes and snacks also included. Ages 11-18 Registration is required and begins October 10. Register online
