1. Company Sports. Sports (basketball, volleyball, slow-pitch softball, flag football, soccer, cross country, track and field, racquetball, tennis, Sound to Narrows Run, swimming, golf, bowling, dodge ball and wrestling) conducted at the company level for which the DMWR Sports, Fitness and Aquatics provides awards to the top teams and individuals placing in the Installation Championships.
2. Open Competitive Tournaments/Sports. Sports conducted at the open level for which DFMWR Sports, Fitness and Aquatics provides team and individual awards. If funds are not available, entry into open leagues and tournaments may require a fee to participate. Open league teams may compete with a mixed team of military (from different units) and authorized civilians. The Sports, Fitness and Aquatics also sponsors open competition sanctioned by sports governing bodies in different sports. There may be entry fees for these tournaments and a requirement to join the governing bodies association.
3. Women's Sports Programs. These programs are conducted by the Sports, Fitness and Aquatics. Teams competing in these programs may be comprised of military (from different units) and other authorized personnel (DoD, NAF, AAFES civilian employees, and female family members not eligible for Youth Services programs).
COMMANDER'S SPORTS TROPHY
The Sports, Fitness and Aquatics Branch will award a Commander's Sports Trophy to the company team that accumulates the most points in basketball, volleyball, slow-pitch softball, flag football, soccer, wrestling, cross country, track and field, racquetball, tennis, Sound to Narrows Run, Power Lifting, swimming, golf, and bowling.
The award will be presented at the conclusion of the Installation Company Wrestling Championships. The trophy is rotated each year. A unit that wins the trophy for three consecutive years retains the trophy.
